This SYNTHETIC BLEND COMPRESSOR OIL is a multi-viscosity, partial synthetic lubricant with superior performance capabilities for rotary/piston/reciprocating type air compressors operating under normal-to-severe conditions of load and temperature. Full lubrication protection for all types of compressors is provided by this excellent, high quality package.

Composition: This SYNTHETIC BLEND COMPRESSOR OIL is formulated to meet or exceed the physical and chemical specifications required by the manufacturers of the equipment for which these lubricants are recommended. Utilizing very high quality, high Vl base oils and polyalphaolefin synthetic base stocks, the excellent natural performance of these products is further improved by the addition of rust, oxidation and corrosion inhibitors, anti-wear and anti-scuff agents, an anti-foam agent and a pour point depressant.

Performance Characteristics: The product will pass a 5000 hour ASTM D-943 Oxidation test, the ASTM D-665 Rust Inhibition test and the ASTM D-892 Foam test. In addition to these capabilities, the anti-wear, anti-scuff and low pour point characteristics of these lubricants provide superior performance under extreme operating temperatures, loads and speeds. The high Vl of the base oils will maintain a more even viscosity, or fluidity, as temperature changes occur, so basic lubrication will be improved at both high and low temperatures. Low temperature fluidity, which is very important in “splash” lubricated crankcases, is further improved by the pour point depressant additive that assures penetration into close clearances of moving parts even when “cold soaked.” Also foam control is important because entrapped air (in the oil) reduces the film strength and lubricity functions of the lubricant. Since sliding friction, rust and corrosion are common causes of wear in compressors, the anti-wear, anti-scuff, anti-rust, anti-oxidation and anti-corrosion additives significantly reduce cylinder and bearing wear. The polyalphaolefin synthetic base oil will provide better oxidation characteristics and lower volatility rates than regular mineral oils. The extremely high viscosity index and stability of the PAO allows for extended drain times over conventional compressor oils.
