Special Wire Rope Lube is an outstanding, multi-purpose wire lubricant, with Moly, for lubrication and hard film protection of cables and wire ropes.

Composition & Performance Characteristics: Special Wire Rope Lube is made with a high quality processed bituminous base, fortified with additives for extreme pressures, anti wear, anti oxidation, anti rust, and corrosion inhibition. This product has an oil soluble organic molybdenum additive that, with the wax additive, functions as an antiwear and E.P. agent. This fine product is blended with special drying agents and solvents to reduce surface tension and to allow for greater penetration into the cable. This product dries to a hard film in 20 30 minutes so that sand and dust are not attracted to the cable and thus minimizing the wear that is caused by that type of contamination.

Uses: This product is recommended for use on wire ropes and cables, whether they are hemp, jute, or wire cored, and on link chains. It is recommended for use on derricks, cranes, draglines, guy wiring, and cargo hoists. This hard film lubricant can be used on virtually any cable that requires lubrication and protection.

Application: This product can be applied by brush, or poured on manually. It can also be applied through mechanical means such as drip oilers or pressure fed applicators.
